Melissa enjoys working with and counseling the children/adolescent population, as well as the adult/senior population and has experience dealing with mental health wellness as well as illness issues. She provides thorough psychosocial consultations with specific treatment regimens for a wide range of mental, emotional, social and relationship difficulties.
Melissa's background has consisted of working in the healthcare and mental health fields for over twenty five years; all involving a focus on patient care, psychosocial therapies, care management, behavioral and mental illnesses, and hospice care.
Melissa has completed the education and training necessary in order to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Over the course of Melissa's career she has worked with the child, adolescent, and adult senior populations such as The Families First Program through the State of Tennessee who’s ultimate goal was family preservation involving children, adolescents and their parents while offering therapy, coaching, education.
Melissa is a native of Pensacola where she grew up in the First Presbyterian Church. She is a graduate of The University of Alabama where she received a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Psychology in 1997. Melissa Speck obtained her Master’s of Science in Clinical Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1999.
Melissa lives in Pensacola, Florida and enjoys spending time with and raising her four children; Shelby, Anna Kathryn, Ellie, and Jackson.
